CLINIC POLICIES

We do our best to serve you and appreciate it so much if you observe the following details about our clinic!

Parking

Our treatment spaces are located above the Golden Cabinet Herbal Pharmacy in the SE Hawthorne neighborhood of Portland, OR. If you feel able, please look for on-street parking for your hour+ long visits and leave the 15-minute spaces directly in front of the pharmacy for herbal pharmacy picks ups only.

Late Arrivals

If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment may need to be rescheduled. Don't forget to allow sufficient time to complete any new patient paperwork on your first visit. Thank you for your understanding.

Our Cancellation Policy

We understand that life is full of unpredictability. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, kindly provide at least a 48-hour notice.

We are a small local business. In an effort to better serve you, our providers do not “stack” their schedules with overlapping appointments. Providers are not paid by the hour or by salary, but rather rely on your scheduled appointment to plan financially and meet patient needs.

A fee will be assessed for appointments missed or cancelled without a 48-hour notice (please refer to your intake paperwork for more information). Thank you for your understanding. If you have missed your appointment due to an emergency, please speak with your provider.


INSURANCE

We accept many insurance plans. As a courtesy, we will bill your insurance for naturopathic, acupuncture and bodywork treatments on your behalf.

If you are planning to use insurance to pay for your visit, please provide us with a copy of your insurance card and proof of identification (included in our new patient paperwork) prior to your visit.

As a courtesy, we will verify your insurance benefits for you. However, checking your own insurance benefits will help you navigate your own healthcare and help you know how much you can expect to pay for your visits.  Please click here to find the details we need to know to find out more about your benefits insurance carrier. Again, this is a service we can assist you with!

Please remember your insurance policy is an agreement between you and the insurance company, and it is ultimately your responsibility to pay for any balance not paid or covered by insurance.
 

For our patients without health insurance coverage:

We offer cash rates and time of service discounts for patients without insurance coverage.  These rates vary for each provider; please contact appointments@movingmountaininstitute.com for more information.
